What is a longer length swimsuit?
A longer length swimsuit provides extra fabric through the body compared with a standard-length swimming costume. Halocline longer length swimsuits have an extra 5cm through the body loop, giving more room between the shoulders and gusset. This helps reduce pulling on the shoulders, riding up and the feeling that your swimsuit is simply too short through the body.
Do I need to be tall to wear a longer length swimsuit?
No. You don't need to be tall to benefit from a longer length swimsuit. While taller women often need additional body length, your proportions are just as important as your height. A longer torso, fuller bust or rounder figure can all increase the amount of fabric required through the body. If standard swimsuits tend to pull down on your shoulders or ride up, a longer length swimsuit may provide a much more comfortable fit.
How do I know if I need a longer length swimsuit?
Your existing swimsuit may be too short if the straps pull uncomfortably on your shoulders, the neckline is dragged down, the bust doesn't sit in the right position, or the swimsuit rides up at the bottom. You may also find yourself buying a larger size simply to get enough length through the body. If any of these sound familiar, a longer length swimsuit could give you a better fit without having to size up.
How much longer are Halocline longer length swimsuits?
Our longer length swimsuits have approximately 5cm of additional length through the body loop compared with our standard-length fit. The body loop is measured from the shoulder, down through the crotch and back up to the shoulder. This additional length is designed to provide more room through the torso while maintaining the correct fit around the bust, waist and hips.
Should I size up if I have a long torso?
Usually, no. If your swimsuit fits around your bust, waist, and hips but feels too short through the body, choosing a larger size can make it too loose elsewhere.
